Immediate Dentures in Sudbury and Surrounding Areas

If your dentist has suggested that you have a few or all of your natural teeth pulled out, an immediate, full or partial denture will probably be recommended as a convenient solution, whereby the teeth are extracted by the dentist, and your new dentures are inserted during the same visit.

Immediate dentures are made before your teeth are removed. At Canadian Denture Centre, we take measurements and make models of your jaws during your first visit.

Denture Care Post-Extraction

A considerable amount of care ought to be taken to follow all post-operative instructions for your dentures. Your gums and bones will shrink quite a bit after extraction, and proper upkeep and hygiene will help solve the remaining issues. Temporary linings or tissue conditioners will be required to make them an ideal fit and may need to be monitored and fitted in the recovering time frame. A permanent reline will be required to guarantee an agreeable fit after your initial healing time.

Caring for Your Dentures at Home

Using a denture brush, run your dentures and lightly brush away any food particles and then soak your dentures in a good denture cleaning solution, preferably overnight. In the morning, remove the dentures from the cleaning solution, run them under water and lightly brush with the denture brush to remove the biofilm, which is not visible to the naked eye. Do not use toothpaste because it is abrasive and will scratch the surface of your dentures.
